El drama presenta la historia de un joven Heo Jun y Seo Ri quien nació como princesa, pero se convirtió en una bruja.
La Reina Sim era incapaz de tener un hijo. Ella fue a un chamán para ayudarla a tener un niño. Con la ayuda de la magia negra de la chamán Hong Joo, la Reina Sim fue capaz de tener gemelos: un niño y una niña. Los niños nacieron con una maldición, pero la maldición fue transmitida a sólo uno de ellos a Seo Ri, ella ha vivido en las montañas ocultándose de su maldición gracias a Hyun Seo. En esa montañas ella conoce a Heo Jun, qué también encierra un secreto. El día de su cumpleaños 17 la maldición se empieza a cumplir ¿será capaz de detenerla?
Varios años después el Rey Seonjo tiene una extraña enfermedad que hace que espinas le crezcan en su piel, se da cuenta que es una maldición y trata de hacer muchas cosas para librarse de ella.
